The Ultimate Source of Clarity and Peace

Our FATHER and our GOD, thank you for being the approachable and dependable GOD that you are. The omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient GOD for whom words are not enough to capture your essence and worth.

Today, I ascribe majesty to you, King of all glory.

Gracious one, when words come forth from your excellent mouth, they do not return to you empty. They accomplish that which you purpose and succeed in the thing for which you have sent them forth.

That is why I have confidence in praying to you, as David did in Psalm 37, for the heritage of the righteous and the calamity of the wicked. You have called me to trust you, to do good, and to delight myself in you. When I think about delight, I become like a child excited to see their parent—the emblem of their strength. I rejoice in knowing that I cannot go wrong with you. In you, anything that was not progressing well finds readjustment and completion. In you, I am whole and at peace, even when storms surround me.

Today, LORD, I struggle with comparing myself to others who do not put their trust in you—those who seem to prosper without effort, who achieve in moments what takes me years. Spirit of God, remind me that their ways are not your ways, and their paths are not your paths. Their prosperity is fleeting, but the blessings you give are eternal and rooted in your perfect will.

But there is an upside, LORD…

Father, help me to fix my eyes on you, the author and finisher of my faith. Strengthen my heart to trust in your timing, for you make all things beautiful in their time. When doubt arises, remind me of your promises—that you will never leave me nor forsake me, that your plans are to prosper me and give me hope and a future.

I choose to trust you today. I choose to rest in the assurance that you are working all things together for my good, even when I cannot see it. Help me to walk in obedience, to do good, and to delight myself in you, knowing that you will fulfill the desires of my heart as I align with your will.

Thank you, Father, for being my refuge, my strength, and my ever-present help in trouble. I trust you with my past, present, and future—with my dreams, struggles, and victories. I trust you because you are faithful, and your love for me is unchanging.
